Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

what does it mean in a civil case when it says order purged

Sounds like you were ordered to do something, you did not do it and a contempt petition was filed. You then were found in contempt and complied with the order so there is no more contempt and its purged.

This happens a lot in child cases; the obligor parent is ordered to pay child support and does not; when the arrears get large enough the obligor parent is taken back to court and to purge the contempt the parent has to come up with some amount of money determined by the court.
