Civil Suit
I took out a car loan for a family member, and have a recording of verbal proof that the car loan is for her. Can I win a civil suit?

There's not really enough information to answer this question. If the suit is based on a contract that you signed with the lender the answer is probably no unless the lender agreed to substitute her on the contract. Most lenders would not do that, however.
