civil suit outside of home state

i am going to place a civil suit against a company that has their address listed in Virginia, and I live in PA. I purchased something off Ebay and the product is bogus and they wont let me return it. my bank cant help because the money went through a 3rd party processing service etc....so, if i want to file the complaint, and take them to court, do i have to file the complaint through my hometown courthouse or their companies hometown courthouse? how do i go about sueing a company that doesnt live in my area (Butler, Pa) and they do business in (Elkton, Virginia) thanks!!!!

Re: civil suit outside of home state

You would go about filing a suit against them the way you would file a suit against anybody else. You file a Complaint and serve the Complaint on them. Because they are out of state, you can serve it by certified mail but it has to be restricted delivery.
