Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Contest a Motion

I am being sued and the plaintiff submitted a motion to amend their complaint after I filed my answer. I just want to know, how do I contest the motion, or show that I want to contest it? Do I just write on her motion ''I contest and request oral argument'' or do I have to submit a brief supporting why I'm contesting it?

Re: Contest a Motion

Each county has different rules of procedure. You will need to answer each paragraph of the motion as admitted or denied as the case may be. You might have to submit a proposed Order. You might also need a motion court cover sheet. Finally you may need a memorandum of law. You need to contact the court adminstration office to find outwhat you need.
