In giving a deposition in Pa. what kind of questions can be asked of me? Can the questions be out of the scope of the lawsuit in question? I would like to know before I have to give one. Thanks!

Re: Depositions

Basically, you can be asked any question concerning your knowledge of the event or facts concerning the case, as well, as questions which might lead to the discovery of other discoverable material. You can also be asked personal questions which might have a bearing on your credibility as a witness. If you are concerned, you should definitely have a lawyer present with you at the deposition (if you're not a party). If you are not represented, you will generally have to answer all questions asked of you.
