Dog damage

A contracter came to my house to provide an estimate. His arrival was un-scheduled and when he pulled into our driveway our dog jumped against the side of his truck. The dog apparently left several scratches on the door. He has asked that I re-paint the door. Am I completely liable?

It would appear that you are liable for any damage that your dog caused. If you have homeowners's insurance, you should submit the claim to them.
