Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania
Hello,
I need to file a motion in civil trial division court to request a refund from prothonotary. I need to file a proposed order and memorandum of law to support my motion. I am a Financial Analyst with limited knowledge of legal topics. I understand that the memo of law must state the specific law that allows me to request a refund. The refund in question is a filing fee paid to start a legal name change. Im unsure of whether I need a specific form to prepare the proposed order and memorandum of law or whether I draft the forms myself. If you could shed knowledge on the specific law that allows me to file a request for refund and/or how to prepare the proposed order and memo of law, I would be most appreciative.
Thanks in Advance

Are you sure that you need a motion? The last time, I requested a refund of a filing fee, I simply wrote a letter to the prothonotary. If however, you want to file a motion, you probably should hire an attorney to assist you with drafting it.
