Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania
foreign food object
When I was feeding my 19 month old a baby product, I just happened to look on the spoon and seen something black and hard like a rock or a piece of metal. I contacted the company and they want to send someone over right away to pick up the opened container along with the foreing object. Am I just supposed to hand this over to them and let them deal with it or what should I do on my end before they send someone to pick it up? I don't know what this thing is, if it's going to make her sick or even if I may have fed her a smaller piece that may have broken off. I'm scared to death she might get sick or worse. The company assured me that whatever it is, it was sterilized when the food was cooked in the container. What should I do. They said to keep it in the refridgerator until they come.

To start with, take pictures of everything. Then, make an appointment with an experienced product liability attorney and bring the material with you to the initial consultation (which should always be free). The local bar association is a good place to ask for referrals to attorneys.
