Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania
Hello. I have a friend who willingly left some of her stuff here back in August when she went back to Canada. I've contacted her and told her if she pays me the money she owes and pays me the money to ship I will send it back. For the longest time I heard no reply, I tried to get back to her for her to pick her stuff up and she still owes me money. Is it legal for me to sell/keep her stuff at this point? It has been here longer than 90 days and she left it willingly and made no attempts to come get it or send for it.
Thanks!
~Kate

Send her a letter--certified mail-- and tell her if she does not remove her property in15 days, or pays you to ship it to her-- you wil consider the property abandoned. She walked away and left it there for 6 months--. While there is a chance that she will one day reappear and sue you for her property, I think you have a pretty good defense.
