Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania
My husband, son and I are being sued by someone in one state and we live in another. We haven't seen the papers yet but we know the person who is suing us. He was found guilty of assaulting our adult child and we think that this is his retaliation. Where should we get the attorney? Will we need more than one? Thank you.

It depends. Do you have any connection with the other state, Did you live there. did an incident occur there. There are many factors that go in to the issue of whether the other state has jurisdiction over you. I would need more information before I could tell you where to get an attorney. You should probably consult with a local attorney to get some guidance. Most attorneys don't charge for an initial consultation. Otherwisse, you could post some additional information on this site, and one of us will help you out.
