Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

having a judgement against someone

Could you tell me how long a judgement against someone is good for and if it's been a number of years trying to track them down, how do you track them down to get paid?

In Pa. judgments are valid for 5 years. You must "revive" the judgment prior to the expiration of 5 years from the date of the judgment, otherwise the judgment is lost. There are a variety of ways to discover potential assets. It would take too long to explain. If you are having a problem obtaining the money owed, I suggest having a consultation with an attorney. Your local county Bar Association probably has a Lawyer Referral Service.
