Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania
I had a Judgment placed against me in Aug 2006 by Ford Motor Credit for a car loan taken out in May 2003. The attorney advise me that they will settle for 1/2 the debt with is now $17,760.00 becuase is it still 5% daily accuring interest in the judgment. Is the still a collectable debt or will it become uncollectable in Aug 2010 (4 yrs SOL)? Also I made payment arrangements with the attorney back in 2008 and made two payment, did this restart the clock?

There is no SOL. Its a judgment. SOL only matters pre judgment.
