Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

not sure what kind of case. Very hard to describe yet be brief. I worked for 2 managers for many years at Westinghouse. After co. collapse I was sold to Northrop Grumman and my former managers started their own business. In 1999 they were looking for techs for a new project and hired me back as a contractor. I did everything for them to get the project started. They sent me many times to New Jersey to work on it and I oversaw the project initially as the engineer in charge was on family leave. At West. I had many job reviews from the mgers and all were excellent. At the new place they hired more men and they felt threatened by me and I believe behind my back tehy undermined my position. As the project wound down they needed to lay some off and I was stunned to learn I was one of them. They told me that when they got more work I would be the first called back. I have emails between me and one of the mgers. telling me to keep in touch that they hoped to get more projects and get me back. Some time later I found out that they had called some back but not me. I sent an email asking why and was shocked to receive a reply that I wasn't called back because I was the worst worker they had, didn't get along with other employees and was the worst worker they sent to New Jersey. I contacted one of the engineers I worked primarily for and sent him a copy of the email. I told him I trusted him to be honest and forthright because he is that type. He was perplexed as to why I was told that as he was always happy with my work. I answered the mgers email by asking him that if I was taht bad why didn't he call me in his office and berate me. Why send me to NJ so many times if I was a terrible worker and what about all the commendations and job performance evaluations that were excellent at West that were signed by him. There are a couple other engineers I worked for and I am confident I would get a good report from them as well as fellow techs I worked for. I feel degraded and humiliated by this as I pride myself on doing a good job. If there is a course of action to take I would love to. This isn't about money, but personal pride. Ron Ronallo

In Pennsylvania you are an employee at will. That is you can be fired for a good reason or no reason. The only reason they can't use is because they discriminated against a protected class such as race or age.
