Is it legal for someone to sign you name without your permission and without you afforded the opportunity to review the legal document?

No. It is illegal for someone to sign your name. Period. A person can sign in your place using their signature and noting that they are signing for you. But to sign your name is unlawful as that is simply a fraudulent signature which can be disputed easily in the courts.
