Generally,k a judgment from an auto accident in Pennsylvania remains in effect for 20 years HOWEVER, the holder of the judgment must file papers with the court every 5 years to revive the judgment. This is a general rule and there are exceptions, for example this rule may not apply if the judgment holder was a minor at the time it was entered. If the judgment is over 5 years old, and has not been revived, you should see a lawyer about the possibility of having the judgment stricken from the record.
