Re: want to moved son out of the house

You asked about a son that refuses to leave the nest.

The first thing is to see if you can convince him to see a metal health professional. There are issues there than I'm certain you are must suspect. You and your wife must also seek professional help as this process has been and will be traumatic on you and your wife.

The next issue is to get him to vacate your home. The only means to legally do so is to get him to leave voluntarily or evict him. Your best course of action is to hire a local attorney to handle this for you. The attorney can provide guidance to you and can authoritatively communicate with your son and the courts. If things escalate then the attorney is best prepared to act in your best interest to protect you and your property.

This isn't something you can or should attempt to do on your own. Enlist as many people as possible, including mental health professionals, persons from your local mental health organizations, a social worker and your attorney.

This won't be free but it should be less expensive than continuing as you are.

Regards,

Roger
