pfa/harassment

i was served with a pfa and harassment charges are being filed i want to know if

a)do i need to be present at the hearing?

b)do i need an attorney

YES, of course you have to be at the hearing. If you're not at the hearing on the harassment charges a warrant will be issued for your arrest. If you're not at the PFA hearing, then the PFA will be issued against you. You do not want this.

And, YES, you need an attorney. Unless, of course, you know more law than an attorney...which of course is not the case.

You should not consent to the PFA. Have a hearing. You need an attorney to present a defense to the PFA. And, harassment is a criminal charge. You need an attorney to defend them.

Yes, it will cost you a few dollars. Better now than later.

You have to appear at the hearing. I strongly recommend you hire legal counsel.
