road usage

i live on street ''a'' which intersects street ''b'' for over twenty five years i go from my street ''a'' to street ''b'' to get to a main road.

both streets ''a'' and ''b'' are private roads. a group of homeowners have purchased street ''b'' and have put up a barrier so street ''a'' users cannot access street ''b'' is this legal?

Probably not but in order to challenge their action you are probably going to have to sue in court for a declaratory judgment that you have a prescriptive easement.
