Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania
Someone I know (a scorned friend) made a fake memorial to me on the Find A Grave site. Now it's being reported on ancestry sites and elsewhere that I am dead. It gives my full name and father's name, etc. If any of my creditors find this and think I'm dead, I could lose my health insurance or other. She also lied and said I died from refusing cancer treatment. Absolutely not true! Can't anyone be held accountable for this. And how can I get Find A Grave to take it down? I've written them twice and they will not respond to my request to remove the false information.
