Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Can He Sue?

A group of 10 friends decided to throw a bowling party, elected officers, everyone put in $30.00 to be a member. We charged a fee@the door to cover expenses, anything left over would go into the bank for next party, busines fees

1 member offered a website, phone line, threw his personal business, made a punch, brought some chicken, he offered this free of charge never gave an invoice, or prices, he voluntered these things. Now he wants to leave the group an is asking for all monies of everything he contributed and wants to sue. He has not given us any invoices or prices of things just saying we will all recieve a letter from his attroney by the end of the week. He quit the group threw email we did not ask him to leave. We have records of minutes stating what he offered to do these things not asking for monies in return, other members offered to do things also.

We feel he should get his $30.00 and his share of any profits that was made from the party.

What is he entilted too, and how should we handle this?

Thank You!

Re: Can He Sue?

Anybody can sue anybody. That said he would need some evidence of a contract between the group and him. Without that he isn't going to get anything.

The problem is the jerk could lose at DJ then appeal to Common Pleas Court. Then you folks would need a lawyer. However, if he did that you could counter claim that the suit is frivolous and you should get $$$ from him.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
