Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Voluntary repossesion

I had a blazer, the dealer told me we qualified for an incentive program. Turns out we were 8 days away from actually qualifing. Now The financing co. is going to put the blazer as a voluntary repossesion. I contacted the dealer everytime I recieved a letter from GMAC. Mon. this week the salesman told me it was all his and the dealers fault. Now today the deadline, they tell me there is nothing they can do. I told them yeah they can pay the amount owed to GMAC since it was there fault. I would have waited the extra 8 days had I known we didn't qualify. What can I do? What should I do? SHould I just pay the amount I hate to put that much $6000 on a credit card but I can't have a voluntary repossesion go on my credit report. Thank you for the help.

Re: Voluntary repossesion

You need to take three steps. Pay GMAC, go to your bank to make a loan based on the car and pay the credit cards off. Then sue the dealership for the amount of the incentives their actions cost you. I offer free consultations.
