Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

I won a case at the local court level against a lawnmower repair guy. He then hired a lawyer and appealed but did not follow thru with his appeal filing so the county court cancelled his appeal. What can I do now. Does the lower court ruling stand?

If the appeal was dismissed, contact the DJ court & ask them what document you need to show the dismissal & proceed with a writ of execution. I suspect you just need a certified copy of the docket entry in common pleas court to provide to the DJ. The best way to get your money is, if you know where repair guy banks, to file a writ of execution & interrogatories in attachment. The DJ court has the forms & I believe will help you fill in. Basically the bank receives the attachment, freezes the account up to the judgment amount, & sends you the money. It's a little more complicated but that's the basic procedure. If you don't know where he banks, it can get complicated. Good luck!!
