Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania
If I wrote a check to someone for a service, and they never cashed it.
Four years later they come to me and say would here is the check you wrote would you rewrite the check for me, am I legally obligated to do it?

Did they ever give you a reason why they didn't cash it?
If you don't give them a fresh check they could sue you, that said the statute of limitations for contracts is 4 years. So if it's been more than 4 years since you wrote the check you could defend against such a lawsuit by using the statute of limitations.
