i caught shoplift in khols i got arressted 2 yrs ago now . i am going to apply citizenship someone told me i need certificate of my record and payment from court is that true ?

You need to have your record reviewed before you file for naturalization. A five year period of good moral character is required for naturalization. The shoplifting charge may prevent you from being granted citizenship, and may also potentially be a removable offense, depending upon the record. You need to get your court records and have them reviewed by an immigration attorney before you file.
