Legal Question in Immigration Law in Pennsylvania
I am a U.S citizen and I want to file a I-130 for my brother abroad. He happens to have a visitor/tourist visa, will the process be more faster if he comes here and I file a I-130 and he files a I-485 along with it? How long will this process take compared to just filing I-130 and waiting for that process to go through?
Thanks in advance for your reply

You will not be able to file an I-485 for your brother until an immigrant visa number becomes available to him, For now, you can only file the I-130 and wait. For a free consultation, please contact my office at 904-371-3538 or email me at [email protected].
You can only file an I-130 for your brother at this point. It can take 8-10 years before an immigrant visa is available for your brother since siblings of U.S. Citizens is the slowest moving category. You may want to consider having an attorney file the petition to keep tabs on when the immigrant visa becomes available for your brother since the Visa Bulletin changes so drastically every month. Please feel free to contact me to discuss this matter further.
