Legal Question in Immigration Law in Pennsylvania
Dear sir/madam,
I am on H4 visa in the United States and have a good background in accounting. If i am getting the job what visa I need? just to be specific,can I work on some contract position. and in that case what visa I need to have?Will it be H1b visa or any other visa.can the employer issue me 1099?

Hi,
The employer should file an H1B petition for you. When you are granted H1B status, you can be legally employed. The employment must be as a W2 employee, not as a 1099 contractor, in order to comply with H1B rules and regulations.
