Legal Question in Immigration Law in Pennsylvania

Good morning,

I saw your information online and wanted to ask you a very quick question Im sure you can help us with. I have filled all of the necessary documentation and received the receipts to adjust my status from F1 student to permanent resident through marriage. My EAD is currently processing, am I allowed to accept a job offer, but not begin work until my EAD arrives? Or is that prohibited?

Thank you in advance,

MPT

I don't see why you would be prohibited from accepting an offer of employment now. However, you cannot complete form I-9, or work, until the I-765 is approved, which could take about 75 days. I also do not recommend entering into any written employment agreements until the I-765 is approved.
