Legal Question in Immigration Law in Pennsylvania
husband forged documents
I was married to a man that got his permanent residency through me. Things weren't working out, and I left before it was time to remove the conditions on it. I filed for divorce about 2 months ago. I recently found out that he forged my name to a lease renewal. He had also at one time, called and asked me to fax him a copy of my old drivers license from when we lived together, (I didn't.) The only thing I can assume is that he has forged my name to INS documents to remove his conditions. (why else would he need me on his lease?) Is there anything I can do to ensure that he hasn't done this, and if he has, could it be determined that he entered into the marriage to beat immigration laws? Could the marriage be annulled?

Re: husband forged documents
you can call the landlord to see if he has your name on the lease. you can also make it quiet simple and notify INS that you are now in the process of being divorced (unless a decree has been issued already), and send them a copy of the complaint. They will do their own investigating.
