do i need a passport

i lost my passport but the passport was expired but i have a greencard do i need a united states passport to travel to the bahamas where i am from my passport is from the bahamas

You asked about replacing a passport.

You are aware that you need to replace your passport. You are not eligible for an U.S.A. passport.

You will need to obtain a replacement passport through a consulate of upir country in the U.S. Call the closest (Bahamas) consulate and see what the procedure is to get a replacement passport. Usually you'll need a few forms of official ID and often a citizen of your own country to"vouch"for you.
