Legal Question in Insurance Law in Pennsylvania
Bodily Injury Arising Out of a Snowmobile accident
My husband was injured extensively as a passenger riding on a snowmobile owned by a friend, driven by another friend.
The owner's policy has 50/100 liability coverage which we have been told we will probably get $50,000 with no questions asked because of the severity of my husband's injuries. The friend driving died in the crash. My husband's BCBS plan has paid all medical bills to date with
few exceptions, he was out of work 6 months and got half pay from employer. Is a snowmobile is motor vehicle ? Are we entitled to collect off of our uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage from our Prudential Auto 100/300 ? We have Limited Tort on the auto. What should we do ? We do not want to sue the estate or the children of the deceased driver. Guidence please..

Re: Bodily Injury Arising Out of a Snowmobile accident
You need to review the auto policy in order to determine coverage. In addition, there may be case law that aids in the interpretation of the policy. If you are going this without an attorney, I am sure that your claim will be denied since you will not know the procedures to follow in order to make appropriate arguments befor the panel of arbitrators.
