Legal Question in Insurance Law in Pennsylvania
Are companies allowed to put a max on disability benefits that would put the amount payed to less than 1/3 of your regular pay.

I am assuming the disability is not work-related, as if it was, the PA workers comp law would apply and you would get approximately 2/3 of your gross income, and should see a WC lawyer.
. If the disability insurance is from an employer who provided the disability policy, you have to read the policy and the employers' ERISA plan to determine the amount of benefits you are entitled to. Your employer must provide this information to you. The plan and the policy determine the amount of benefits. There is no law in PA that an employer must provide disability insurance benefits to its workers.
