Dropped the Ball
I had an Insurance claim from a store that caught fire. I had started with one attorney and found that he was lacking in doing his job and I took it to someone who was much more aggresive. The insurance carrier filed fraudulant police report saying I was committing fraud. All charges were dropped when we proved the malice. They are saying my statute of limitations is up for claim. The attorney I had said that criminal and civil where two different things and that my limit was up for civil and criminal because my first attorney dropped the ball. I have been advised by current attorney to bring suit against first attorney. He would do it himself but there is conflict of interest as they had worked in the same firm at one point. I have also been advised to go out of Erie and look for a Pittsburgh attorney to file suit against my first attorney. Any takers?

You asked about suing an attorney for malpractice.
