Ins. Co. wants to charge whole premium on cancellation

I cancelled my motorcycle insurance and now the company wants to charge me the rest of the premium left. Basically I'll be paying for insurance I don't need. The company told me that PA state law requires them to charge the rest of the year left over on the insurance. I've never heard of this and can't find this so called state law. Am I being ripped off? If there is such a state law, what possible reason could there be for it and why isn't it the same for auto insurance?

I've never heard of such a thing. Tell them to send you a copy of this "law," or else you'll file a complaint with the Insurance Department.
