Legal Question in Insurance Law in Pennsylvania
I am living in my mother's home. She passed away about a year ago. I have been paying the homeowners insurance premuims but the house and the insurance is still in my mother's name. IF I make a claim will I be covered? Thank you for your time, Eileen

Did your mother have a will? An estate should have been established to pass any assets to the beneficiaries. If the house was not left to you or you were not a co owner you may have many issues and problems. If the house was left to you a deed should be drafted conveying the property to you from the Estate. Your mother is deceased the insurance cannot be in her name it should either be in the Estate's name or the new owner. I suggest you consult with an attorney to review your situation
