Legal Question in Insurance Law in Pennsylvania

Can they do this?

mother past away recentally and life ins paid every ,month, now the ins company asking questions about hospital stays, doctor visits etc for past seven years. they accepted her took her money, what are they trying to pull, are they tring to get out of this somehow? thank-you for your time.

It's normal for an insurance company to request documentation and proof of loss. If a policy was issued recently, i.e., less than two years ago, then an insurer may scrutinze the application to see if pre-existing medical conditions were fully disclosed. But Pennsylvania requires most policies to have a two-year incontestibility clause, which means that once the policy has been in force for two years, benefits can't be denied based on alleged misrepresentations in the application.
