Legal Question in Insurance Law in Pennsylvania
I received an check from my insurance company that is less than I believe I am entitled to. I have sent a Demand Letter to the insurer for additional payment. If they do not comply after 30 days, I am suing in small claims court. Question: If I cash the check they sent me, am I de facto agreeing that it represents full payment for the casualty event, or should I hold on to the check until the legal process is complete?

Why take a chance? Don't cash it. BTW, the check will usually say "for all claims" or "final payment" or words to that effect.
