Legal Question in Insurance Law in Pennsylvania
Theft
I owned a car, i had parked it at my daughters because i had no room here and was going to sell it. I had cancelled insurance and someone took the car and wrecked it and now they want me to pay damages. I was not informed for 2 days about the accident and when i talked to police they would not arrest the person who stole it even thought he didnt have permisson to use it. I didnt even know the person. I was later informed he had no drivers liscence. What can i do ?

Re: Theft
In PA, a car must be insured if it is registered. The owner is responsible. I would suggest that you sue the person who stole it, but he/she probably has nothing. You willneed an attny if the amount due warrants one.
