who will pay for it

I was in an auto accident where i feel the other party was at fault. so what is the law about how they find out who was at fault? the police said that they are not the ones to say who was at fault. is this true?

Unless the accident is the result of a violation of the law the police don't make any judgment as to fault. Your and the other parties insurance carriers will determine who said pay. If you need to you may have to go to court to recover deductibles or if he is uninsured other damages.
