new t shirt concept

i would like to propose a t shirt concept which has a unique method of how it is displayed by the person wearing how can i protect from those people just running with the idea themselves as well as potential investors and having ths unique concept will i be able to be the only one able to produce such an item

A couple of possible legal tools to protect the concept would be a regular U.S. patent or a design patent. There isn't enough information for me to infer from what you say whether your concept would qualify for either, but if you are serious about the matter, it would be appropriate to consult a patent attorney and get confidential advice on the subject.
