Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Pennsylvania

I'm planning on hosting a party. I'm 21, but a lot of my friends are under the legal drinking age. Is it okay if they come to the party as long as they are not drinking. They will not be consuming alcohol before, during, or after the party. You already know what the question is. Can minors be at a drinking party where everyone consuming alcohol is 21? Also what area of law would this question fall under?

I wouldn't take the chance.....there are too many possibilities of kids sneaking drinks or bringing in in alcohol illegally...and if someone gets hurt as a result of drinking, there is social host liability...It isn't worth the risk--that is only the TIP of the iceberg....I was a guest on Court TV several years ago discussing a case where parents who were home tried to control what was happening, and one of the youngsters that came, snuck in drinks even though the parents tried to stop it...one youngster sped off, went through an intersection and killed two young ladies, one an exchange student...The parents went through a civil jury trial and even though they prevailed, the ordeal they went through and the guilt they must feel, can never be erased, not to mention the loss of two beautiful young lives... Yes, it COULD happen to you. ERR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION. Booze parties are like time bombs....

DON'T DO IT!!!

Good luck and stay safe!
