Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

Accused of doing drugs on the job

Two fellow employees accused me of taking drugs not prescribed to me on the job. Administration sent me home and told me to return in five days. I returned and I was told I am being suspended for drug use. I paid for own blood test (negative results for drug accused of taking) but administration will not acknowledge document. Union will not help me.

If your Union refuses to process a grievance for you then you may have a claim against the Union for breaching its duty to represent you. You may also have a claim against the employer under the collective bargaining agreement. Claims of this nature have a very short staute of limitation. Therefore, it is important that you confer with a lawyer promptly in order to have your rights protected.
