Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania
I can't go back to my job
I have worked as a dispatcher for a plumbing & heating company for 6 years. The plumbing & heating tech. have always disrespected me, intiminated me, have gotten loud & rude with me but I stayed there because I needed my job. They would not have done this if I were a man. Yesterday I sent two technicians on a service call for a backed up sewer. They were not happy about going and decided to bring me a 5 gallon bucket of the debris they found at the sewer call. This was a 5 gallon bucket of human fesces, used tampons, used condoms, baby wipes. I was discusted and left work. I couldn't stay in that office for one more second. They took the bucket with them but the smell lingered. I am a wife and a mother. How can I go back there. Please help me. I have a family and I don't know what to do.

Find a conscientious lawyer who will send a letter on your behlf to the big boss(es). This should cost 125 or so, but the lawyer will not get the money he would earn should there be a lawsuit due to your being forced to leave.
The facts you suggest seem pretty extreme and have lurid sexual overtones of menstruation and fornication. I wonder what necessitated bringing such items to the workplace?
You face a very difficult, hostile work environment and I would venture to take you on as a Title VII and constructive discharge Client, all else being equal.
Good Luck.
