Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania
breach of employment contract
I have an employment contract with a
negotiated ''guaranteed'' bonus by the
end of the year. My employer
announced in February that there will
be no bonuses in the company.
However to my knowlege I am one of
very few with a ''guaranteed'' bonus.
After asking my employer I was told
that there will be no bonus regardless
of what is written in contract. I have no
e-mail communication regarding this
matter. Should I document it in some
way? Should I retain an attorney? Could
I be fired for persuing breach of
contract action?

Re: breach of employment contract
I would contact an attorney immediately to review your employment contract and to discuss all that you have related to date. It certainly puts you in a better position having something in writing.
