Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

change of job status

I took a position as a medical office supervisor part time basis now they want to make that position fulltime. What if I don't want to go fulltime? I am willing to go back being a medical secretary but would like to keep my same hours. What happens if there is not a medical secretary position available? I understand they would reduce my salary. I have been there for 15 years total. Last 2years as a supervisor.

Re: change of job status

Unless you are part of a union or have an employment agreement with your employer that would protect your position or your part time status, there is no obvious legal recourse for you. The only other option is if you can show that your employer is discriminating against you in its actions.
