Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

Denial of pay

I have not been paid my last paycheck. I have heard I can send a ''letter of demand'' to my former employer by certified mail and expect to recieve my pay. If this is true, how would I word the letter? My employer is an independent trucker, not a certified business owner.

Re: Denial of pay

You can send a demand letter - no specific wording is needed. However, even better - the Pa. Wage Collection Act allows you to bring and action and further entitles you to additional compensation over and above the amount of past due wages. BETTER still - your employer has to pay the attorney's fees!
