I am suing the us post office.

Can I as a complainent, ask questions in a depositon

Yes, of course you can ask deposition questions. But opposing counsel knows how to do that and so much more. You are going to have your hands full with immunities and affirmative defenses. Hire counsel if at all able, or a least have someone on standby to translate your list of legal obligations. have fun, because you will otherwise be frustrated.
