Employee Paid for Hours not Worked
I own a small business and recently discovered a husband and wife team who are employeed by us collecting pay for hours not worked. He has been working few hours and reporting more for himself and she has stopped going out on the jobs completely and continues to call hours in each night. We can prove this has gone on in the last week, but believe it's gone on for months. I plan to confront them both and am wondering if there are any laws regarding what they have been doing?

There are all sort of legal and employment land mines for you to step on in this area.
My recommendation is to speak with an attorney directly about the situation and get specific advise on how to handle this matter.
Right now you have identified two problem employees. You know about it and you should act on that information. but to confront them in any manner could expose you to charges ranging from defamation to wrongful termination or even discrimination.
You may be right. And the charges may be baseless. But I can guarantee you that the damage that these parties have already done to your business will pale in the cost of defending such charges.
Save yourself a huge headache and get counsel to help you address the matter. There is nothing wrong with terminating the employees, but you should go no further without competent advice.
