Employer will not pay

My husband started driving truck for this company. Well his first week out on Friday, the dispatcher calls and says they are letting him go. Now they are saying that he dropped a load in the yard and quit. So they are keeping his pay in order to pay for a driver to deliver that load. But when my husband filed for unemployment, they are saying now that he abandoned his truck along the road. They are also charging him for the 150 in com checks for fuel and tolls. I asked for a paystubb and they sent me a piece of paper with his runs, which are not right. They are paid 24% of a load but are charging my husband for .60 a mile. They are saying a number of different things and none of it makes sense. Can they charge him for delivering a load that they say he didn't deliver? Of course we have no copies of bill's to prove that he did deliver the load. There is a lot more to the story then this but this is the base of it.

Your husband obviously needs a lawyer. There are 2 seperate unrelated issues. The 1st, is withholding the pay check, the 2nd is the unemployment. If it is documented that they have given 2 versions it will help your husbands case significantly. I offer free consultations.
