Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

Exempt versus non-exempt overtime

Recently laid off. The company I worked for pretended that I was an exempt employee and I worked literally 4,000 or more hours overtime over the past 11 years. The company officially established exempt and non-exempt employee status at the beginning of this year (2008). Do I have any claim to the hours I was not paid for? I was being paid $50,000 to $62,500 a year over the eleven year period.

Re: Exempt versus non-exempt overtime

Hi. My firm personally handles huge overtime cases like these. Check out the Philadelphia Inquirer article on our most recent case: http://www.philly.com/inquirer/breaking/business_breaking/20080529_NutriSystem_named_in_overtime_lawsuit.html?adString=inq.business/business_breaking;!category=business_breaking;&randomOrd=052908085542.

If you were not exempt then, based on the facts, we may be able to recover your overtime. Definitely give my offices a call 267.639.3105, or e-mail me directly at [email protected]. Thanks.
