Getting fired and still collecting unemployment
My manager gave me an annual appraisal in the beginning of February, that wasn't satisfactory and he told me I had 3 months to improve. In the beginning of March, he fired me. I want to start collecting unemployment but I'm not sure I can since I was fired. What are my options and how do I prove that it wasn't a fault of my own and I wasn't give the full 3 months to improve? Legally, am I owed the 3 months to improve?

As long as you were fired through no fault of your own you should be entitiled to unemployment compensation. If you committed willful misconduct then the answer would be different. Sounds on the fact available that you should file for unemplyment. If the employer contests it you can go to a hearing.
